Events you host appear on your profile. That is the point of a profile: people decide whether to come based on who is running it.
The events you are going to, and everything you have saved, are private by default. You can choose to show them in Settings, under Privacy.
You can also make your whole profile private. Then other people see only your name, photo and tier.
